The Rock Creek Project - Part 1
Thus begins a pet project - documenting each nook and cranny of the middle branch of Rock Creek Park. Each of these spots has its own feel and basically I find the lush foliage beautiful and the stone grills primal. In spots you can see a marbled quartz looking white stone popping out of the ground, likely a place that a receding glacier deposited it. Lastly, there's a ridiculous variety of wildlife - deer, foxes, opossums, woodpeckers, owls, bats, cab drivers, squirrels, chipmunks, field mice, horse and federal officers of the law.
